Bellevue residence

This landscape, finished in spring 2004, was a complete overhaul of the original property. Since the garden was installed while the new house was being built, multiple construction crews had to work together on site and planning was required to protect the new landscape from damage.

Dry-stacked stone retaining walls were constructed to create level planting areas and ample space for entertaining. Because the homeowners requested primarily summer blooming, deciduous plantings, great care was taken with the layout and bold hardscape to ensure attractive views throughout winter.

Rock Solid won an Award of Distinction for this garden from the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals.
